All Hail King Cody!

Prior to tonight there was only a few trophies missing from his cabinet, but Cody Turacchio (Cody Turacchio Motorsports) has finally filled one of those empty spots as he claimed the King of Kwinana feature race at the Perth Motorplex!

As has been the case so often in recent years, Turacchio won a heat and finished second in the other tonight to put himself on pole position for the fifteen-lap feature alongside heat one winner Mark House, while Brendon Marshman (Opal Finance F500 Racing) and Matt Brown (Matt Brown Racing/@Pope Racing) would fill out row two.

House gave some cheek ion the front straight as the race went green but Turacchio simply accelerated away as Brown drove around the outside to take over second.

Marshman was also able to get by House for third on the opening lap while just behind was Steven Ellement (Steven Ellement Motorsport) and David Sinagra (Sinagra Motorsport).

Turacchio was over two seconds ahead of Brown by the completion of lap five, and behind them Marshman, Ellement, House, Sinagra, Rhys Cumming (RJC Motorsport) and Glenn Carstairs were all spread out evenly as the top eight pulled away from the rest of the field.

The laps wound down with no one able to make any distance on the car in front, and by the time ten laps were completed, Turacchio was still 2.1 seconds ahead of Brown.

Even as lapped traffic began to play a part in the closing stages of the main event Turacchio held strong, going on to claim the win by just under a second and a half, and being crowned King for the first time in his career.
Brown would hold down second place while Marshman was third.

After a huge few weeks teams now have some time to reset, with the next event back at the Motorplex on the 5th of December.
