West Coast Series Joins Albany’s 60-Year Celebration!
The Roadline Civil Contractors West Coast Series presented by Asteel Powdercoaters returns to Albany Speedway Club this Saturday night, November 8, for Round Two of the championship, coinciding with the club’s 60-year anniversary celebrations.
All eyes will be on Cody Turacchio (Cody Turacchio Motorsports), who is chasing an incredible milestone as he looks to claim his eleventh consecutive West Coast Series feature race victory. Turacchio has been the benchmark of consistency and speed in recent seasons, but with strong competition on hand, he’ll need to be at his best once again.
Standout drivers including State Champion Rhys Cumming (RJC Motorsport), the always fast Steven Ellement (Steven Ellement Motorsport), Brendon Marshman (Opal Finance F500 Racing) and David Sinagra (Sinagra Motorsport) have also nominated for the showdown and would love to make the trek down south worth it.
Adding some local flavour to the night, Albany’s own Shane Devonshire (@ChasingTheTrackmakes his much-anticipated return to racing. Devonshire’s home track knowledge and loyal local support could make him a serious threat as he looks to deliver a big result on such a special occasion.
Meanwhile, series points Logan Harris (LSJ Motorsports) not only looks to maintain his advantage, but he has teamed up with one of the true legends of Formula 500's racing, 'JA' Johnny Andersson and is set to mark the milestone Albany event with something extra special, bringing the revered replica A1 machine down south for the fans as part of the event.
The mix of championship pressure, milestone celebrations, and homegrown heroes ensures that this Saturday’s event at Albany Speedway will be one to remember.
