Picking Right Up…

Almost as if there was no break between seasons, Cody Turacchio (Cody Turacchio Motorsports) has continued his good form, this time by claiming the opening round of the 2025/26 Roadline Civil Contractors West Coast Series at Geraldton City Speedway, proudly presented by Precise Suspensions & Automotive

Turacchio had yet another perfect night results wise and nearly made it the absolute perfect night, winning both of his heat races (leading fifteen of a possible sixteen laps), claiming the win in the top six race (after being in front for each lap) and then leading every lap in the thirty-lap feature to leave Geraldton victorious.

Todd Pages (Pages Motorsport) also had a great night, winning both of his heat races to join Turacchio on the front row of the dash race, but WA Champion Rhys Cumming (RJC Motorsport) was able to get by him to earn the right to start alongside Turacchio on the front row for the main event.

As the race went green Turacchio was immediately into the lead ahead of Cumming while Brendon Marshman (Opal Finance F500 Racing) was able to best Pages to move into third.

Unfortunately an uncharacteristic spin saw the yellows come on and Marshman sent to the rear for the resumption, giving him plenty of work to do.

As Turacchio led lap after lap, with Cumming following in behind Marshman worked his way through the field, while David Sinagra (Sinagra Motorsportl) just ahead did the same, having started eighth and moving into third past Pages on lap ten.

Marshman moved into fourth a few laps later and from here the top four order would remain unchanged, while Troy Samwell would get past mid pack dash winner Debbie Garland (Woodys Racing) in the last part of the race to claim the final position inside the top five.

With the win, Cody now extends his streak to ten West Coast Series feature wins in a row (now across three seasons!), though does not hold the points lead after Logan Harris (LSJ Motorsports) played his Ace Card to lead the points score after Round One!

Teams will be back in action at the Motorplex this weekend, with the second round of the Roadline Civil West Coast Series to be held in Albany on November 8 as part of their 60th Anniversary celebrations and proudly presented by Asteel Powdercoaters.

The 2025/26 Roadline Civil Contractors West Coast Series is proudly presented by:
